About the UnderGround Oasis

HISTORY: The Underground Oasis was started by Kirk Shea, Leo Bristol and Dale Johnston in LaGrande Oregon in 2005.   There was a desire to create an alternative program that was different from the secular programs that were out there, with focus on Christ and what He can do to change peoples outlook and their way of life.  It must be emphasized that they were not being critical of the other programs, but instead just wanted something different where people's needs could be met.  The desire for creating something new was further reinforced after reading Neil Anderson's book, "Freedom from Addiction"  There is a huge difference been being free from addiction and being clean and sober. The underground Oasis is currently operating in eight locations.

WHAT IT'S ABOUT: The UnderGround Oasis is a Christ-Centered 12-Step Program that focuses on turning our lives over to God, allowing Him to be in the driver seat.

How many of us, with control over our own lives, has done a good job with making things turn out great, resulting in peace, happiness and satisfaction in our lives? It is impossible to experience true freedom and internal peace without God in control of our lives. As our Heavenly Father, He only wants the best for you and me, leading us where we "need" to go for that peace and happiness.
